Muck Boots -- with Steel Toe-CSA approved

Muck boots data has been updated .....

-the CSA approved steel toe ( #XAS-532-CHS-CSAA-10 ...and larger ) is now in system


-we also added all SPECIAL ORDER boots - to make make quoting easier ... there is a question on pac qty --some ( many ?  all ? ) may need to be ordered in CASE QTY ....watch for more details

Interstate Dry Cell Batteries - available soon

See you manager ( and he should see Ryan - who - yet again is doing point work on this project ) -- XIS PNCode 5 -- odd ball and dry cell batteries ...  we have 350 of the most popular sku;s in the system now

Example - XIS DRY0003 is a 8 pac of AA batteries ....  see image

Problems - we still need to correct the missing EHC enviro fees and to add the UPC 12 digit code ( may be easier to TYPE the UPC code than figure out the part # of a sku ...time will tell )

Public atta boy ...for Ken

Ken was asking me if I could see about a fix to EXPLORIS to solve a problem .... I told him --CALL THE HELP DESK ... lately I have been pushing MORE STAFF to learn how to call the help desk and get their problem solved ... and ...Ken did it and helped EVERYONE ...

Here is what he wrote back afterwards

 ......    I called the Exploris held desk this morning regarding the lengthy pause between the time you finalized an invoice and the time when it actually started to print, sometimes as much as 10 to 12 seconds. Just got a call back from them and the problem seems to be fixed. Said it could have been caused by maintenance or licensing updates being done on their servers. Please let me know if you notice it happening again. Thanks.  Ken N

The new Accessibility Standard for Customer Service comes into effect across Ontario on January 1, 2012. If you have any employees, you will be required to establish policies, practices and procedures on providing goods or services to people with disabilities. You will also be asked to train your employees on:

  • how to interact with people with disabilities who use assistive devices or require the assistance of a guide dog, other service animal or a support person;

Motorcade

Bart from Motorcade was in and we discussed a few things. First when looking up parts on their site the on hand Qty actually shows per car QTY. Go to cart to see actual on hands. They also accept returns collect. Please don't abuse this.They also prepay on $150.00 so that make a difference on some high dollar items that we pay a % (canusa) for freight.

Streamlining RGA's with Auto Sense ....

Had a good chat with Lorie - who handles RGA's at Auto Sense .. and learned a new acronym  for PITA ( click the link to see )  ...and luckily we ( our 3 stores do not qualify )

Anyways -- here is ONE change we would like you to con side and do ( if you consider and decide to NOT DO --then TELL Greg H with reason why ) ......... start e-mailing in RGA requests to Auto Sense

The e-mail address is annual returns (at) modernsales.ca ( we write it this way so other PITA's don't junk their e-mail address with wonderful offers or riches and or body part extensions.

Under what circumstances will a RGA process slow down ....
-during November - when many jobbers flood the system with their annual return for that year  (deadline)
-during Jan ( only for 2012 ) with their new computer system - new computers are always problematic
-Apil-May with the large amounts of 'show' orders .... this years show is in Calgary/Banff & I believe Ryan is going

Other times you should see RGA's proceed with normal speed.
