RV anti-freeze -- more than you wanted to know ?

I asked some at D&T what the difference was in ANT 15-334 and 15-384  and got a muffled reply ...so shot Record Chemical a note
---- Greg, 15-384 has corrosion inhibitors for metal protection( copper), 15-334 does not, good for poly pipe only

Images - 15-334 is pink and 15-384 is purple ... prices range from Acklands $9( better sku )  to Home Depot $5 for the cheap ...

Christmas Party

so - who shares  my enthusiasm for lines you liked the second you saw then .. one is BUYERS PRODUCTS ....  Line # 577 from Auto Sense warehouse.  ( click link )



On a recent thread on the Auto Sense message board someone asked for non-skid tape .....  we have these two sku;s in our EXPLORIS data data ..... 2" x60 (XAS-577-AST60)  and 4"x60 (XAS-577-AST460) ...they have since added the 6" x 60 tape but we don;t have part # until our next price update

Idea's on how you can sell more in this line ...

ps - we linked the Google Doc supplier E-cat data with the Buyers YouTube video channel as well ... more and more suppliers are understanding the POWER of good 3 minute product info video's ... this will only get better as time goes on ... If you see a good video channel ( know what this means??) - please link it on the google doc page.

=====      just a follow up from nearly a year ago -- yep -the part is still not in CARQUEST ( Canada ) ...and that is after we wrote several e-mails to various product managers and exec's .... go figure .... first to market ... still need to start practicing that ==========

Auto Sense clothing line Richlu has been added  as XAS-219.  Greg Guyitt at Auto Barn is doing the initial work on the line.  Watch for more details.  Data is in your Exploris NOW.  Google Doc for supplier E-Cat has been updated as well as Plaxo for your address book info and contact phone numbers etc.  The line names are TOUGH DUCK and WORK KING  .... click here to go to their web site....

Using the WRONG Web Browser with PRS

Greg Guyitt mentioned he is confused at PRS ( Product Resolution System ) when it tells him he has a part # with EXISTING KNOWN PROBLEMS ( see first image ) but can't see the other issues.

The second image is on a web browser without the KNOWN PROBLEMS --and you can see the existing problems ... if you are reporting the same thing --you can confirm that ... BUT ...if you have a NEW problem with that part then continue and post as such.

IE8 and Chrome are known problems for PRS ( as of this date ) ... Foxfire and IE 7 or older or Mac Safari work fine. We hope that CARQUEST gets this problem fixed on IE8 --as who wants to use an older web browser ( and the related known security issues )

Payroll

I will be doing payroll on Wednesday, September 28th. Please have all timesheets and vacation/sick days sent in for the afternoon of Tuesday, September 27th.

Payroll will be deposited on Friday, September 30th.

If you want vacation pay released on your month end cheque please let me know ASAP.

DEAD PARTS - how to handle them in a Computer that ....

We know that EXPLORIS can not ( yet ... or ever ?? ) delete obsolete parts .... until they figure out how to handle --we are asking that you move the part to a PN code ( sub line ) 999 ....

You will need to make the PN code for a line for the first part you move ... after that it is set

Brady Oil Spill pads

Recently Auto Sense announced a price reduction ( price roll back ?? ) on 7 popular oil spill sku's ... 2 are KITS ( SKA-PP and SKO-PP .... hint a=all and O=oil ) .... click here for the Brady web site Brady is #458 in AS.

The other 5 numbers are PADS ... the approx size of a BIG PIZZA ( but square )

- the 200 are THINNER - so you get 200 pads in the approx same size box as you would get if you have the thicker ( and therefore more absorbent ) 100.

Question -- what is better -- just oil or ALL liquids .... that depends ...what are you going to spill... if oil & anti-freeze ( etc ) then all ...but spill oil outside in a rain ...and well you will pick up OIL and WATER with the ALL .... don;t you just love decisions.

I am asking the store managers to LOOK at what they stock ( and add more --in some stores MUCH MORE ). I am also asking for some samples to be used for staff training.
