We have a LOT to learn on the features in Next-Gen E-CAT
for example - do you want fluid type & volumes --in Activant it was at the END of the section --in NEXT-GEN it is a SPECS tabs --- important.
Also - do you know you can widen ( or shrink) many columns -- like Excel if you have sued Excel ... and if you haven;t -=-then you need to have someone SHOW YOU ...the images show the result of such a change --revealing the missing data ... I have spoken with Jake - Ryan & Greg G - see them if you need more help
This next gen catalog is terrible. Popping a boner over a stupid expanding tab is sad. This catalog is set up for retards who haven't seen a good catalog system in their life. Take it from a Wholesale leader in California. Rednecks shouldn't make catalogs! I could give two rats asses about labor rates or expanding tabs, just allow me to look up parts and send them out efficiently PLEASE. If the Carquest honchos were intelligent they would model it after WorldPac SpeedDIAl....but that would be too easy. Let's just throw money at it and call it the "Excel Like Expanding Tab Useless Catalog" since it doesn't do much else.

ReplyDeleteWell -- they started off by trying to copy the World Pac catalog ... we have really never been told the details on what went wrong and why ours doesnt; look and feel more like the WPC one
