PLEASE make sure that all stuff who may quote some part that is either in US dollars or from a warehouse that was giving us a FAIR DEAL on prices --that these staff know the recent change in the US-Cdn dollar --click on the image to see it larger
We expect LESS price increases from CARQUEST -simply because they were not giving us the fair exchange. Managers have the Feb 2008 list of all lines from CARQUEST and their percentage difference with USA CARQUEST. Lines from Fed Mog are the poster child for PIGS keeping the US exchange --- other lines like Valley or Grote or even Standard Ignition where fair --and these lines will see the impact of having to raise prices ( short term ) to cover the US dollar that has become a temporary strong currency. Other warehouses like Auto Sense has issued a memo on the urgent price change they will need to cover the rapid change.
Watch the price of oil --when it goes up -our Cdn dollar will usually go up.
